A Three Return Day

I can't remember the last time I received three returns in one day.  It's been quite a while.

Today I received a nice mix of old and new.

Billy Gardner signed his 1957, 1961 and 1983 Topps.

Paul Konerko signed his 2003 Topps Heritage and 2008 Goudey.

And J. W. Porter signed his 1953, 1955 and 1959 Topps.

Gary Bell Return

Gary Bell signed three cards for me in 11 days, including his 1962, 1968 and 1969 Topps.

Hector Lopez

Today I received four cards back from Hector Lopez, who signed his 1956, 1957, 1960 and 1962 Topps.

Chuck Cottier and Tom Satriano

I received two nice returns today:

Chuck Cottier signed his 1962 Post, 1962 Topps and 1969 Topps.

And Tom Satriano signed four cards for me including his 1966, 1967, 1969 and 1971 Topps.

Ted Bowsfield

I was out of town for the weekend and cam back to one return in my mailbox.

Ted Bowsfield signed his 1959 and 1960 Topps for my collection.

I've been pretty good about sending out a few requests each week, so I should have some steady returns for a while.

Cookie Rojas - Second Attempt

I sent a few cards to Cookie Rojas back in 2011 and didn't get a response.  I saw a fellow collector on SCN get a return from him so I decided to try again.

He signed his 1965 and 1972 Topps for me, and kept the 1963 Topps I had also sent.  I"ll try again in a few months and include a small donation to get my 63 signed.

It looks like I missed posting a couple of returns.

Bob Conley signed his 1959 Topps for me that I got back a little over a week ago:

And J.C. Martin signed his 1960, 1966 and 1968 Topps.  I received these on the same day as Bob Conley.

Dan Dobbek

Former Twin Dan Dobbek neatly signed his 1959, 1960 and 1961 Topps for me in nine days.

I hope to receive a few more requests back in the next couple of days but need to send a few more out to keep them coming back consistently.

Bobby Brown - 1952 Bowman

A nice return from Bobby Brown today, who signed his 1952 Bowman in about 8 days.

Bill Bryan

Returns two days in a row! 

Today brought Bill Bryan, who signed his 1963, 1966 and 1968 Topps in 9 days.

Bill Virdon

My returns are becoming semi-regular again.  I'd like to get back to getting at least one return each week.

Today I received a 1959 and 1962 Topps from Bill Virdon in just eight days, including the holiday.

Dick Schofield Return

In just 10 days, Dick Schofield signed his 1967, 1968, and 1969 Topps for my collection.

Don Demeter

Don Demeter was kind enough to sign his 1959, 1960 and 1966 Topps for my collection.

Hal Smith

It's been very confusing over the years to send cards to Hal Smith, because there are two Hal Smiths that played in the 1950's and 60's.  Making it even more confusing, they were both catchers.

I received a response from Hal W. Smith, who played for many different teams, including the Pirates, A's, Orioles and Reds.

The other Hal Smith, Hal R. Smith, played many years for the Cardinals.  Unfortunately, he passed away in 2014.  He was a generous signer, as is Hal W.

Ike Delock Return

Today I received a 1952 Bowman and 1962 Topps signed by Ike Delock in 8 days.

Another 1952 Topps

I was surprised to discover I didn't have Bob Miller's 1952 Topps signed for my collection, as he's a very generous signer and his card isn't too expensive.

I think I was confused because there were several Bob Millers that played in that era and the others have since passed away.

After discovering my oversight, I sen Mr. Miller his card and he signed it in about 9 days.

Carter, Hall and Swisher

On Friday, I received three returns.  I was out of town for the weekend, so I'm just getting to them now.

Joe Carter signed his 1985 Topps and 2000 Fleer Greats of the Game for $10.

Former-Twin Tom Hall signed his 1971 and 1973 Topps for me.

Finally, Steve Swisher signed his 1976, 1978 and 1979 Topps.
