Fellow Twins collector Randy, who has the largest and best Twins collection of anyone I know, had this Puckett-signed and Beckett authenticated 1991 Twins World Series poster on eBay for a while. I've been watching it and received an offer at a lower price, but it was more than I thought I should spend, despite being a good deal.
I bought a couple other signed cards from him to help out with my sets and then asked him what the lowest he could go on it. It was a generous offer, so I snapped it up, and he even paid for shipping. Thank you so much, Randy!
(Update: I had sent Randy a message on SCN to let him know I received everything safely and to thank him again. He told me to take the Puckett out of the plastic sleeves because there was a bonus for me. I had taken off the sleeves to take a picture, and didn't even notice that he had also included a signed Scott Erickson poster for me! Holy cow, what a generous guy!)
I just have Greg Gagne left to complete the 14-player poster set.
Randy also sold me a 1965 Norm Siebern and 1972 Topps Bill Freehan.
Randy is my go-to guy for Twins-related questions. Mostly I ask him for his opinion on the authenticity of Twins signatures on eBay and SCN, and other miscellaneous questions about Twins memorabilia. I have probably only met him in person three times or so, and that almost always is an accidental meeting at TwinsFest or a local card show. He has a thread on SCN showing off his Twins collection and it is absolutely amazing!
I also received three ttm successes today.
Jim Otten signed his 1975 Topps card, already signed by two others. Eddie Solomon has passed away so this card is done.
Woody Woodward signed his 1965, 1970 and 1971 Topps as well as a 1971 Topps "Reds Celebrate" card already signed by Angel Bravo.
And Joe Moeller signed his 1963, 1965 and 1971 Topps as well as the 1966 Dodgers team card already signed by Hector Valle.
