My Last Return of the Year

One return today to close out 2015.

Steve Foucault signed his 1976 and 1978 Topps.

In the next couple of days I'll review my progress on my goals for 2015 and set some goals for 2016.

Two more returns today, all cards from the 70's.

Darcy Fast signed his 1972 Topps.

And Bob Lacey signed his 1978 and 1979 Topps.

One more day to reach my goals for 2015.  Not gonna happen.

Art Howe, Steve Kemp and Jamie Moyer TTM Returns

I received back a couple more returns from the 1978 Topps I sent out a couple of weeks ago, as well as a one I sent last summer.

Art Howe signed his 1978 and 1979 Topps.

Steve Kemp signed his 1978, 1979, and 1985 Topps.

And Jamie Moyer signed his 2008 and 2010 Topps Heritage cards that I sent him in August.

I sent out four more requests today.  All of them were 1952 Topps.  I'm going to fall short of my TTM goals for the year, but maybe I'll still get a few more out before the end of the year.

Ed Ott and Rick Reuschel TTM Returns - More 1978 Topps

More 1970's returns today.

Ed Ott signed his 1976, 1978 and 1979 Topps.

Rick Reuschel signed his 1976, 1978, 1979 and 1985 Topps for my collection.

I've been a little distracted from my autographs, as I've started documenting my Star Wars toy collection.  I've been taking a lot of pictures and creating a web site for the items so I can keep track of what I have.  I started a blog for that hobby too:

Floyd Bannister and Rick Waits

The cards for the '70's I sent out a little over a week ago are starting to come back.

Floyd Bannister signed a 1978, 1979 and two 1985 Topps for me.

And Rick Waits signed his 1976, 1978, 1979 and 1985 Topps.

I have a few 1952 Topps to send out and I'll send out another batch of cards from the 70's (primarily 1978).  I'll work on them over this weekend and next while I have a few days off from work.

A Few 1952 Topps

I recently purchased three 1952 Topps from Mickey's.  I was a little surprised at how "cheap" they were.  Perhaps because they were all excellent ttm signers and have only recently passed away.  But especially considering they're PSA/DNA authenticated, I was happy to grab them.

The three I bought include Lou Brissie, Robin Roberts and Mickey Vernon,

I also bought a few unsigned 1952 Topps that I'll send out over the next couple of weeks.

Dick Moloney - 1971 Topps

Just 10 days after receiving this card from Chuck Brinkman, I've received it back from Dick Moloney.

I really like getting multi-signed cards completed, and even though this one is just two players, I think it looks pretty nice.

Nolan Ryan - 1978 Topps

I sent this card to the Nolan Ryan Foundation back in September.  He signs a few times a year so you just have to send it in and be patient.

I'm happy to add another Hall of Famer to my 1978 Topps set.

I sent out 11 requests today.  Mostly 1978 Topps, along with cards from the 1976 and 1979 sets I bought to send along with these requests.

Hal Breeden Return

Another return today.  It's been a while since I've gotten a few in the same week.

Hal Breeden signed his 1972 and 1973 Topps for me.

He also included a signed Baseball Magazine card from 2010 picturing him with the Hanshin Tigers.

#TBT - Hemus and Silvera

I was really happy today to see a few vintage cards come back.  Both of these were sent out back in August, so I was getting nervous that I may not see them again.

Solly Hemus signed his 1953 Topps for me,

Charlie Silvera signed card makes my 39th from that set.

Brinkman and Luebber

Two returns today, adding a couple more cards to my 1972 Topps collection.

Steve Luebber, a former Twin, signed his 1972 Topps.

And Chuck Brinkman signed his 1971, 1972 and 1973 Topps.

I'm having a tough time getting fired up for TwinsFest.  Tickets go on sale tomorrow, but I haven't decided which days, if any, I'll attend.  I've looked at the lineup so far, and it doesn't seem like enough to make me want to stand out in the freezing cold.  I suppose I could just relax a little this year, and show up after it opens, and leisurely wander around to get whatever is convenient.  I haven't decided yet.

Del Unser Return

I sent out a handful of requests about a week ago and got my first one back today.

Del Unser signed his 1972, 1976 and 1978 Topps.

This marks the start of some 1970's cards I'll be getting back as I'm working on my 1972 and 1978 sets.  There will be some 71's, 73's and an occasional 79 in the returns as well.
