Harmon Killebrew Mini Helmet

Today I received a Harmon Killebrew signed mini helmet that I bought on Ebay with some money I received from my mother on Christmas.

The price was very reasonable, and it has an MLB authentication sticker on it.  I looked it up and this was signed at the 2008 All Star FanFest.  MLB authenticaton is my favorite, because they are authenticated as the player signs the item.  It's not an opinion after the fact.

Tomorrow I'll post about how I did on my 2014 collecting goals.

I received two returns this week.

On Tuesday, I received a 1963 and 1964 Topps that I sent Dallas Green.  He was also kind enough to return and signed Diamond Signatures card.

Today I received a 1962, 1963 and 1964 Topps signed by Pete Richert.

Today I also received a Christmas present from my sister: an Upper Deck  Heroes card signed by Harmon Killebrew, Gaylord Perry, Reggie Jackson, Fergie Jenkins, Boog Powell and Lou Brock.

Altman and Fisher

I received two more returns today, adding two more 1963 Topps to my collection.  I think this makes 237 signed card from the set (out of 576).  I have a long way to go!

George Altman signed his 1960, 1963 and 1964 Topps.

And Eddie Fisher signed his 1963, 1966 and 1971 Topps.

Catching Up on a Bunch of Returns

I received a lot of returns this week.  Most of them arrived on Monday.

Al Worthington signed the 1963, 1967 and 1968 Topps I sent him.  He also sent me a signed 1965 Topps, two 3x5 signed photos, a signed religious pamphlet and two signed article reprints.  Wow!

Al Weis signed his 1970 and 1971 Topps as well as a Ron Lewis 1969 Mets postcard.

Bobby Pfeil signed his 1970 and 1972 Topps and a Ron Lewis postcard.

Ernie Broglio signed a 1961 Post as well as 1962 and 1963 Topps.

Don Larsen signed his 1963 Topps.

Gary Peters signed a 1963, 1964 and 1966 Topps.

Ken McBride signed two 1964 Topps, including one I had included for him to keep, but he didn't return the 1963 Topps I had enclosed.  Oops.

John Goryl signed a 1959, 1963 and 1964 Topps.

And Bob Sadowski signed his 1963 Topps.  Did you know there are two Bob Sadowski's that played in the early to mid 60's?  Very confusing!

Phew!  That was Monday.

On Tuesday, I received a 1961 Topps Pitching Leaders card signed by Art Ditmar.  I had first sent this to Milt Pappas, who smeared his signature.  I thought I'd complete it anyway, but now I'm having second thoughts.  I might but another one and start over.

Lindy McDaniel signed a 1961 and 1963 Topps.

And today, I received a return from Frank Funk, who signed a 1963 and 1964 Topps.

It took my quite a bit of time to scan all these cards and catalog them.  I expect a few more returns in the next few days but things will really slow down over the holidays I think.

Vern Law Return

One return today.  Vern Law was kind enough to sign a few cards fro me including some already signed by other players.

He signed the 1959 Topps Buc Hill Aces already signed by  Roy Face and Bob Friend.

1961 Pitching Leaders already signed by Ernie Broglio.

And he signed his 1963 and 1964 Topps and added his Cy Young Award inscription.

I'm starting to get ready for TwinsFest.  I bought my tickets yesterday.  I'm excited to see Torii Hunter and am hoping to get at least one bobblehead signed by him.  I'm not sure yet if newly-signed Ervin Santana will be there, but if so, I'll try to get him to sign a ball.
